Metro 1 is Born in Wynwood

Metro 1 is founded with a vision to transform Miami’s urban core through sustainable development and placemaking. That year, the firm signs a lease for its inaugural office in Wynwood—marking the beginning of a neighborhood-shaping journey rooted in community impact and innovation.

2010
Wynwood Gateway

Metro 1 acquires this landmark corner property and leases it to Ducati, Wynwood’s first international tenant. The site later welcomes brands like Bxldr, Palmar, and Brothers & Brawlers. In 2019, Metro 1 partners with The Collective to develop a 12-story co-living concept, the first of its kind in the area.

Peter Miller Hotel

Metro 1 facilitates the sale of this hospitality asset, reflecting growing international investor interest in South Florida’s hotel sector.

Magic City Innovation District

Tony Cho and Metro 1 reimagine a former trailer park into the Magic City Innovation District – Little Haiti®. Backed by Cirque du Soleil co-founder Guy Laliberté, the project includes $33M in community benefits and becomes a hub for tech, wellness, arts, and sustainability.

Metro 1 collaborates with East End Capital to transform a strip of warehouses into the Wynwood Arcade—home to The Salty Donut, Three by Norman Van Aken, and other celebrated tenants.

Metro 1 sells this 16-story, 1926 landmark in Downtown Miami for $23.5M, representing the seller Capital Loft Miami and showcasing its expertise with historic properties.

Sold for $22M to Sterling Building, this transaction reflects a 633% increase from its $3M sale in 2014—Sterling’s first Wynwood acquisition and a milestone in the area’s rising value.

In partnership with Robert Finvarb Companies, Metro 1 acquires three properties for $18.4M to develop a 24-story AC/Element hotel by Arquitectonica near Brickell Backyard Park.

Arlo Hotel

Metro 1 represents both sides in an $8.5M deal to develop Wynwood’s first hotel. Arlo Hotels plans a 217-room property with public art and dynamic amenities.

Momosan Ramen

Metro 1 brokers both sides of a deal to bring Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto’s Momosan Ramen to Wynwood, adding a high-profile culinary destination to the neighborhood.
