Did You Get Your $44 Invitation?

March 20, 2014

One of Miami’s new condo projects is using a high-tech video invitation to entice people to its launch party at 7 p.m. on April 3.

1010-brickell-video-invitationThe developers of 1010 Brickell paid $44 per invite to send out small video players wrapped in a sleek cardboard invitation.

The video plays tinkling lounge music as scenes of the planned 47-story tower unfold on the video screen. The $200 million project is still pre-construction. Units are advertised at $625 per square foot.

“We were told we are the first real estate company to do video invitations with the vendor, PIM or Printings in Motion,” said Stefanie Mogull, marketing coordinator for 13th Floor Investments, which is co-developing the project with Key International.

“People are receiving so much mail, so many emails, so how do you capture their attention?” Mogull said. “We want people to keep it on their desk, and possibly connect to their computer with the USB cord so they can download it and share it.

She acknowledged the cost is steep for invitations but said the company believes it will be worth the investment if it results in only one condo sale.
