It will now be easier to get your Cake Thai Kitchen fix. The owners of the popular Thai restaurant, Phuket Thongsodchaveondee aka “Cake” and his mother May Mazza, announced that they will be moving the restaurant to Wynwood come mid-2016.
Backing the new location is two guys familiar to the restaurant scene in the area, Javier Ramirez and Leo Monterrey, who also happen to be also be investors in neighboring Alter. This new location will reportedly be bigger than the first one in North Miami, featuring seating for roughly 40 people, and (we can only hope) a bathroom — unlike its current location. As for what will go in the space now housing Cake Thai at 7919 Biscayne Blvd, that is still to be determined, but we’re told it won’t be a Thai concept and Cake and Mazza will still run the space.
